Larger Blades Installed on Wind Turbine

The blades on the 10kW wind turbine installed July 2003 in a cow pasture at the Alfred State College farm were replaced with larger blades in June 2004. The new blades are expected to improve the turbine's performance. The turbine, which provides power to the farm's diary barns, was installed during a five-day workshop conducted by AWS Scientific of Albany and Bergey Windpower, manufacturer of the turbine, in coordination with CEER.
